BELGRADE, Dec 24 (Hina) - After Serbia and Montenegro's Defence
Minister Zoran Stankovic and Serbian Justice Minister Zoran Stojkovic recently
said that they had no information on special war crimes prosecutor Vladimir
Vukcevic's statement that helpers of Hague tribunal indictees Ratko Mladic and
Radovan Karadzic had been located, Serbian Interior Minister Dragan Jocic on
Friday evening confirmed that there was such operative information, but that it
would not be made public and that the speed of locating the two fugitives
depended mostly on military intelligence services. After he said on
Thursday that Mladic and Karadzic's helpers had been identified and located,
war crimes prosecutor Vukcevic on Friday said the Serbian Security Information
Agency and Ministry of the Interior were in possession of detailed information
on the helpers of the two most wanted fugitives from the UN tribunal.
Vukcevic said that more than five persons had been identified so
far.
Serbian Interior Minister Dragan Jocic said an intensive search for
Karadzic and Mladic was under way because time was limited. "The prosecutor has
joined in the activities and his message to all found to be hiding or in any
other way helping war criminals is that they will face legal sanctions".
