presidency early next year.
ZAGREB, Dec 20 (Hina) - Croatian and Austrian foreign ministry
state secretaries met in Vienna on Tuesday and said that eight chapters of
Croatia's European Union entry negotiations were expected to be opened during
Austria's EU presidency early next year. Hido Biscevic of Croatia
and Johannes Kyrle of Austria were agreed that the thorough analysis of the
adjustment of Croatia's legislation to European standards (screening) was
proceeding well, the Croatian foreign ministry said in a press release.
The two officials also addressed bilateral issues and the situation in
Southeast Europe, notably Croatia's role given its forthcoming presidency of
the South East European Cooperation Process.
