ZAGREB, Dec 15 (Hina) - Croatian Ambassador Drago Stambuk on Thursdaypresented his credentials to Japanese Emperor Akihito, thus formallytaking the office of Croatian ambassador to Japan, the Croatianforeign ministry said in a press release.
ZAGREB, Dec 15 (Hina) - Croatian Ambassador Drago Stambuk on Thursday presented his credentials to Japanese Emperor Akihito, thus formally taking the office of Croatian ambassador to Japan, the Croatian foreign ministry said in a press release.

Stambuk conveyed Croatian President Stjepan Mesic's greetings to Emperor Akihito and congratulations on the marriage of Princess Sayako, who visited Croatia three years ago.

The two sides said Croatia and Japan had good and friendly relations, and expressed their wish to further advance relations and intensify political, economic and cultural cooperation.
