"I am not concerned about Croatia," Sanader told reporters on Thursday in Maise, near Brussels, where he arrived to attend a meeting of the European People's Party (EPP).
The Croatian premier said he believed that European leaders would do everything to reach a compromise on the budget.
If no agreement is reached, the EU may face a financial paralysis which would most affect new members of the European bloc and also produce negative effects for candidate countries which are entitled to pre-accession funds.
