Belgrade, sources in The Hague said on Wednesday.
THE HAGUE, Dec 14 (Hina) - The spokesman for the International
Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY), Jim Landale, will leave his
post in January next year, to be succeeded by Aleksandra Milenov from the ICTY
Office in Belgrade, sources in The Hague said on Wednesday.
Landale, who has been spokesman for the ICTY since September 1998, told
reporters at his last press briefing today that he was leaving to take up
office at the UN headquarters in New York, at the office for public relations
of the Department of Peace-keeping Operations.
Alekandra Milenov, a Canadian of Serb descent who will take up office
on 4 January 2006, has worked for a number of years as liaison officer at the
ICTY office in Belgrade.
