The head of the Department for the EU and Political Affairs in the Croatian Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry, Boris Grigic, also said an inter-departmental task force would be set up next year to develop mechanism in Croatia to for development of assistance to third countries.
Representatives of members states of the EU, the European Commission and the European parliament as well as candidate countries met in Vienna on Thursday to discuss the EU development policy and strategy towards undeveloped countries. The conference is aimed at exchanging opinion and experience on the participation of ten new member states, a year and a half after joining the EU, in assisting undeveloped countries, notably in Africa and the adjustment of candidate states to the strategy.
