ZAGREB, Dec 13 (Hina) - A witness testifying in the trial of SlobodanDavidovic, a member of the Serb unit "Scorpions" charged with warcrimes, on Tuesday recognised the accused in a video recording as aparticipant in the massacre of
Bosnian civilians in Srebrenica,eastern Bosnia.
ZAGREB, Dec 13 (Hina) - A witness testifying in the trial of
Slobodan Davidovic, a member of the Serb unit "Scorpions" charged with war
crimes, on Tuesday recognised the accused in a video recording as a participant
in the massacre of Bosnian civilians in Srebrenica, eastern Bosnia.
Witness Djordje Matijevic, Davidovic's neighbour from western Slavonia,
recognised Davidovic in an amateur video recording showing six Bosniaks
captured in Srebrenica in 1995.
Davidovic is charged, along with other unidentified members of the
"Scorpions" unit, with having killed six Bosniak youths, including two minors,
in the village of Trnovo near Srebrenica in July 1995.
He is also charged with physically and mentally abusing Croatian Army
members in Bobota near the eastern Croatian town of Vinkovci in October
1991.
The trial will continue on Wednesday.
