SIBENIK, Dec 6 (Hina) - A consortium consisting of the MIAB
company from the coastal city of Sibenik and the Cetina company from Sinj on
Tuesday signed a contract with the European Commission's Delegation on
infrastructure construction in the Podi business zone in Sibenik. The European
Union will finance the project with 1.55 million euros, an EC Delegation
official, Zoran Kostic, said in Zagreb on Tuesday. MIAB owner Mate
Buric said the works would start in mid-January.
All infrastructure facilities in the zone should be completed by the
autumn 2006.
The city of Sibenik will finance the project with seven million kuna
(approx. 945,000 euros) and the Croatian Economy Ministry with three million
kuna (approx. 400,000 euros).
