BANJA LUKA, Dec 5 (Hina) - A member of the Bosnian Presidency and
head of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA), Sulejman Tihic, told a local TV
in the Bosnian Serb Entity on Sunday evening that he filed a request to the
Bosnian Constitutional Court to examine if the name of the Bosnian Serb entity
(Republika Srpska) was constitutional, adding that Serbs, Croats and Bosniaks
in Bosnia should also declare themselves as Bosnians. Tihic said
that the name Republika Srpska was not in line with the Bosnian Serb entity's
constitution which stressed that this was the entity of Serbs, Bosniaks and
Croats.
"Therefore I believe that the name Republika Srpska should be changed
in accordance with the Constitution," Tihic said adding that naming the entity
only after one people was in fact discrimination against the other two
constituent peoples.
