The Belgrade prosecutor for war crimes, Vladimir Vukcevic, and an official of the Bosnian State Court's Office of the War Crimes Prosecutor, Vaso Marinkovic, on Thursday tested the video link.
Vukcevic said by video link from Belgrade that testimonies given via video link would contribute to speedier and more efficient war crimes trials in the two countries.
This form of cooperation will be used in the ongoing Belgrade trial of Bosnian Serbs from the town of Zvornik, charged with war crimes committed against local Muslims (Bosniaks).
Witnesses testifying via video link will feel safer, and there is a possibility for their voices to be distorted and images blurred as an additional measure of protection.
