Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) area commanders Fatmir Limaj and Isak Musliu were acquitted of torture and killing of Serb civilians and suspected Albanian collaborators, held in the KLA-run Lapusnik camp in the summer of 1998, while camp guard Haradin Bala was found guilty of the same crimes and sentenced to 13 years' imprisonment.
The Trial Chamber found Bala personally responsible for the torture and cruel treatment of prisoners and said that he had personally participated in the murder of nine prisoners on Mount Berisa in late July 1998.
