The budget was backed by members of the ruling coalition, representatives of the national minorities, some of the independent deputies and members of the Pensioners' Party.
All 304 amendments tabled by the Opposition were rejected at the Government's proposal during a 10-hour vote.
The Opposition asked for about KN 6.4 billion through the amendments, the most expensive being those concerning the Ministry of Maritime Affairs, Tourism, Transport and Development (about KN 2.4 billion).
Amendments concerning the Ministry of Agriculture were worth about 1.4 billion while those concerning the Ministry of Science totalled KN 619 million.
The 2006 budget is based on a projected economic growth rate of four per cent, an inflation rate of about three per cent and a general government deficit of 3.3 per cent of Gross Domestic Product.
