Mesic stressed the exceptionally good cooperation with the ICRC during the war in Croatia. That cooperation, Mesic said, continued after the war in dealing with the problem of missing people and mine removal, the statement said.
Forster said that along with solving the issue of missing people in the region, the ICRC's role was to give members of various military missions training in international humanitarian law. President Mesic hailed the initiative.
