Sanader and Buckovski pointed out that the case should not affect the good relations between the two countries.
The two television networks also quoted Macedonian Defence Minister Jovan Manasijevski as saying that the reputation of Stojanovski, as an officer who had passed all NATO procedures, should be preserved.
Croatian government spokesman Vlatko Macek confirmed that the two prime ministers had met on the margins of a Central European Initiative summit in Slovakia on Friday and that they had discussed bilateral relations and Macedonia's progress to EU membership. He, however, could not say whether Buckovski and Sanader had also discussed the accusations against Stojanovski.
