The news agency said that the Bosnian Archbishop, Cardinal Vinko Puljic, informed US Ambassador Douglas McElhaney of the bishops' decision at their meeting in Sarajevo on 9 November.
Earlier this month, the Bosnian Bishops' Conference adopted draft amendments to the Bosnian Constitution saying that the current organisation was unfair particularly to the harm of the Croat people. The bishops proposed the cancellation of the current two entities and the establishment of four regions. Their proposal, however, was not discussed at talks on constitutional changes in Bosnia that ended in Brussels on Monday. The talks were organised by the United States Institute for Peace.
