The convention will pool about 150 people, including members of parliament and government, state secretaries, prefects, mayors and municipal heads in which the HDZ is in power, and other party officials.
On Friday, HDZ president and Prime Minister Ivo Sanader will speak about events over the past two years, assess success in ruling the country, and outline tasks until the next elections.
Jarnjak said the party's activity in the next two years would focus on the creation of conditions aimed at improving living standards, raising employment and salaries.
Commenting on the announcement of the Independent Democratic Serb Party (SDSS) that it would cancel cooperation with the HDZ, Jarnjak said the coalition would not be brought in question and that there would be no tectonic changes.
