BELGRADE, Nov 4 (Hina) - Serbia and Montenegro deputies on Friday ratified an agreement with NATO on transit arrangements in support of peace operations.

Deputies of Vojislav Seselj's Serbian Radical Party and Slobodan Milosevic's Socialist Party were against the ratification. Seselj and Milosevic are indicted by the Hague war crimes tribunal.

The agreement enables NATO troops to pass with equipment through Serbia and Montenegro free of charge, leaving the state union the possibility to charge the lowest price for certain services which NATO will consider necessary.

The authorities will be notified about the model of transport. The route will be agreed by the two sides, although NATO is not obliged to submit an inventory list or customs documents about troops and equipment crossing Serbia and Montenegro territory.

If it causes damage during transit NATO will not answer before courts in the state union given that it has immunity and may be held liable only by its member states.
