ZAGREB, Nov 4 (Hina) - As part of her working visit to Australia,Croatian Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister KolindaGrabar Kitarovic in Sydney on Friday met the speaker of theparliament of New South Wales, John Aquilin,
and dean of the MacquarieUniversity Dianne Yerbury, the Croatian Foreign Ministry said in astatement.
ZAGREB, Nov 4 (Hina) - As part of her working visit to Australia,
Croatian Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Kolinda Grabar
Kitarovic in Sydney on Friday met the speaker of the parliament of New South
Wales, John Aquilin, and dean of the Macquarie University Dianne Yerbury, the
Croatian Foreign Ministry said in a statement. Grabar Kitarovic and
parliament speaker Aquilina agreed that the Croat community in Australia was
the strongest factor in bilateral relations and that the two countries had good
relations but that there was room for improvement, notably in the economy, the
statement said.
After talks with dean Yerbury, the Croatian minister gave a talk at the
Macquarie university on Croatia and the European Union
Speaking about the process of Croatia's joining the European Union, the
minister informed the present of Croatia's status as an EU candidate country
and the course of its membership talks which were launched on 3 October.
