The NATO headquarters in Sarajevo said in a statement that a shop owned by a member of Karadzic's family in Pale had been searched in the operation.
The operation was aimed at collecting additional information about people who are helping Karadzic hide and possibly locating the fugitive.
According to local media, the owner of the shop that was searched is Branislav Jovicevic, reportedly Karadzic's son-in-law.
The NATO headquarters and the Bosnian Serb police reported no incidents during the operation.
