ZAGREB, Oct 10 (Hina) - Economic cooperation between Croatia andThailand is not satisfactory given the existing potential, the StateSecretary for Entrepreneurship at the Croatian Ministry of theEconomy, Tatjana Kesic-Sapic, said at a
meeting in Zagreb on Mondaywith a Thai delegation led by Sombat Srisurin, an adviser to theminister of commerce.
ZAGREB, Oct 10 (Hina) - Economic cooperation between Croatia and
Thailand is not satisfactory given the existing potential, the State Secretary
for Entrepreneurship at the Croatian Ministry of the Economy, Tatjana
Kesic-Sapic, said at a meeting in Zagreb on Monday with a Thai delegation led
by Sombat Srisurin, an adviser to the minister of commerce. Speaking
of business opportunities, Kesic-Sapic cited the possibility of using the
northern Adriatic port of Rijeka as a gateway for Thai commodities destined for
Southeast Europe, the Croatian ministry said in a press release.
Srisurin said that Thailand was very interested in promoting economic
cooperation with Croatia, particularly in investing in the Croatian tourist
industry.
Overall trade between Thailand and Croatia in the first seven months of
this year was USD 28.1 million, which was 18.4 per cent more than in the same
period last year.
