"Conditional independence for Kosovo is not an option I have come up with, it is one of the options debated by the international community. The important word is independence," the Albanian minister said for Radio Television Kosovo.
He said that the international community would supervise the establishment of the rule of law in Kosovo for a certain period of time. According to Mustafaj, in order to give Kosovo conditional independence the international community must receive guarantees that minority rights, notably those of the Serb minority, will be respected.
