done "another step forward in theEuropean integration process," the Serbian government's office foradmission to the EU said in a press release.
BELGRADE, Oct 3 (Hina) - The Council of the European Union
decision to open negotiations on a Stabilisation and Association Agreement
(SAA) with Serbia and Montenegro, adopted in Luxembourg on Monday, is a signal
that the state union has done "another step forward in the European integration
process," the Serbian government's office for admission to the EU said in a
press release. The negotiations will be opened on October 10, when
European Enlargement Commissioner Olli Rehn will visit Belgrade to present a
draft SAA to the authorities.
The first concrete negotiations on the contents of the SAA are expected
to start in November, the press release said.
