BELGRADE, Sept 25 (Hina) - Serbia and Montenegro on Sunday extradited to Spain a 22-year-old Moroccan man suspected of involvement in the Madrid train bombings of 11 March 2004, which killed 191 people and injured more 1,500.

The suspect, Abdelmajid Bouchar, allegedly escaped from an apartment in a Madrid suburb shortly before a police raid on 3 April 2004. During the raid, suspected terrorists set off an explosive device and all seven of them and one police officer were killed.

The extradition order was signed last week by the Minister for Human and Minority Rights, Rasim Ljajic, after the Serbian Supreme Court rejected Bouchar's appeal against the extradition decision by the Belgrade District Court.
