Trade between the two countries between July and August amounted to 1.967 billion convertible marks or around one billion euros.
Croatia accounts for 21.7 percent of Bosnia's overall foreign trade.
Bosnia's second most important trade partner is Serbia and Montenegro, which accounts for 12.67 percent of the country's foreign trade, followed by Germany with 11.42 percent, Slovenia with 10 percent, and Italy with 9.47 percent.
In the first eight months Bosnia imported around 742 million euros worth of goods from Croatia.
At the same time, Bosnian exports to Croatia amounted to 263 million euros.
Bosnia-Herzegovina is still burdened with a high foreign trade deficit, i.e. unfavourable export-import ratio.
The report shows that the deficit in the said period amounted to some 2.174 billion euros, a trend which is expected to continue.
Bosnia has the best export-import ratio with Italy (58.44 percent), while the coverage of imports with exports in trade with other countries is below 50 percent.
The export-import ratio in trade with Croatia is 35.5 percent.
