Macedonia is the second country with which Kosovo signed an agreement on free trade. The first agreement was signed with Albania in 2003.
The agreement was signed by Macedonian Deputy PM Minco Jordanov and UN Civil Administrator in Kosovo Soren Jessen-Petersen.
Under the agreement, all products imported from Kosovo into Macedonia will be exempt from customs duties, while such exemption will cover 90 percent of products that are exported from Macedonia to Kosovo.
Kosovo has been negotiating temporary free trade agreements with Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Slovenia.
