The forum, organised by the Dubrovnik County Chamber of the Economy, brought together 12 representatives of major construction and industrial companies from the Czech Republic and 15 business people from the Dubrovnik area.
The business people agreed that tourism was the best area for promoting economic cooperation between the two countries, and noted that infrastructure and road construction was a precondition for the number of Czech tourists visiting Dubrovnik to increase.
About 36,500 Czech tourists visited the Dubrovnik area last year.
Klaus later went on a sightseeing tour of the city and visited the island of Lopud where he laid flowers at the monument to Czech writer Viktor Dick.
