This is part of efforts the Croatian Government is making to solve the case of the ship Mirna which, after a year-long legal battle with the Indonesian authorities over the alleged illegal transport of goods, was impounded on Tuesday and its 25-member crew detained after the Indonesian navy stormed the ship.
At a meeting, which was also attended by the attorney of the ship and the Indonesian representative of the "Losinjska plovidba" shipping company from Rijeka, which owns the ship, decisions were made as to what steps would the Commission take regarding the bodies operating within its jurisdiction, the statement said.
According to the Croatian Foreign Ministry's statement, the Commission expressed regret about the case and hope that the problems would be solved with its help.
Ambassador Broz also held talks with Indonesian Foreign Minister Hassan Wirayud about options for the temporary release of the ship, the statement said.
