The 45,000-tonne tanker called Elka Delos is the last one in a series of six tankers commissioned for this Greek businessman. The keel of the last ship was laid on 21 October 2004.
Besides the last ship, Brodosplit has so far delivered five tankers of the same kind called Elka Nikolas, Elka Angelique, Elka Eleftheria, Elka Hercules i Elka Glory.
All the tankers are 183.40 metres long and 32 metres wide, with the MAN-type main engines with the strength of 9180 kilowatts which will make it possible for the ships to sail at 15.63 knots.
The shipowner Karnessis has expressed satisfaction with the quality of the tankers which he has said meet strict international standards.
