ZAGREB, July 26 (Hina) - Croatia's biggest drugs wholesale company,Medika, netted 9.08 million kuna in profits in this year's first sixmonths, or 300.92 kuna per share, with the net profit down 9.8 percent from the corresponding
period last year, according to a financialreport carried by the Zagreb Stock Exchange on Tuesday.
ZAGREB, July 26 (Hina) - Croatia's biggest drugs wholesale
company, Medika, netted 9.08 million kuna in profits in this year's first six
months, or 300.92 kuna per share, with the net profit down 9.8 per cent from
the corresponding period last year, according to a financial report carried by
the Zagreb Stock Exchange on Tuesday. Medika's revenue in this
year's first six months was 926.6 million kuna, up 0.3 per cent from the first
half of 2004, with the majority, nearly 850 million kuna, generated by domestic
sales, up 0.18 per cent. Revenue from foreign sales were down about 30 per
cent, amounting to just under four million kuna.
In this year's first six months, Medika also recorded a 38 per cent
increase in financial revenue, of which more than 24.6 million kuna resulted
from positive exchange rates.
Medika also recorded a mild increase in expenditure, of 0.44 per cent,
to 915.2 million kuna.
