VUKOVAR, July 12 (Hina) - The trial of 27 people accused of war crimesagainst civilians from Miklosevci, a mostly Ruthenian-populatedvillage in eastern Croatia, resumed at Vukovar's County Court onTuesday with the examination of new
witnesses.
VUKOVAR, July 12 (Hina) - The trial of 27 people accused of war
crimes against civilians from Miklosevci, a mostly Ruthenian-populated village
in eastern Croatia, resumed at Vukovar's County Court on Tuesday with the
examination of new witnesses. The trial began in April. Nine
defendants are on provisional release, while the rest are being tried in
absentia.
They are accused of genocide and killing and intimidating non-Serbs
during the Serb occupation of Miklosevci from early October 1991 to 18 May
1992.
The main hearing resumes on September 5.
