The year-on-year rise decelerated from 9.7 percent in December 2010 and 8 percent in January 2011 to 5.9 percent in February.
The HZZ expects further deceleration in unemployment growth in the coming months.
In February, a total of 24,312 new entries were made in the register of unemployed people and of them, 13,058 were people who lost jobs, while others were not employed.
Also in February, a total of 10,980 were erased from the registers as they found employment.
Of the 336,411 registered jobless people, 88,954 (26.4 percent) were awarded unemployment dole.
