ZAGREB, June 23 (Hina) - The 19th International Festival of New Theatrecalled EUROKAZ, which takes place annually in Zagreb in the secondhalf of June, began on Wednesday evening with a performance of theBrazilian choreographer Bruno
Beltrao and his Grupo de Rua de Niteróiin the city theatre Gavella.
ZAGREB, June 23 (Hina) - The 19th International Festival of New
Theatre called EUROKAZ, which takes place annually in Zagreb in the second half
of June, began on Wednesday evening with a performance of the Brazilian
choreographer Bruno Beltrao and his Grupo de Rua de Niterói in the city theatre
Gavella. Their show called 'Telesquat' was about an illness caused
by excessive watching of TV.
This year's festival, which will end on 30 June, features 12 theatre
groups from Brazil, the United States, France, Belgium, Italy, Hungary and
Croatia.
Since its beginning in 1987 EUROKAZ has presented over 300 artists and
companies from all over the world and is considered the major theatre festival
in the region. Being not limited by genre, EUROKAZ encompasses theatre, dance,
performance and other related art forms.
