GOSPIC, June 21 (Hina) - There have been no inter-ethnic incidents
in the Lika-Senj County over the past four years and the implementation of the
process of the return of refugees and returnees has yield results, Lika-Senj
County prefect Milan Jurkovic and Gospic mayor Milan Kolic said after talks
with the ambassador of the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in
Europe's (OSCE) Mission in Croatia, Jorgen Fuentes, in Gospic on Tuesday. The reconstruction of the houses for returnees and refugees will be
completed by the end of the year and the preparations of development programmes
for Lika-Senj County are successfully conducted with the regional office of
the OSCE Mission in Gospic, it was said at the talks. Those programmes are in
lice with the EU principles.
Ambassador Fuentes was interested in the results of the economic
development and the development of infrastructure in Gospic and the county. He
said he would do everything together with the Croatian president and the prime
minister so that Croatia could start its EU entry talks as soon as possible.
