Burns met Serbia and Montenegro President Svetozar Marovic, Serbian PM Vojislav Kostunica and the head of the Serbian government's Co-ordination Centre for Kosovo, Nebojsa Covic, in Belgrade on Thursday. During the talks, the US official said his country would support Serbia and Montenegro's accession to NATO's Partnership for Peace the moment Mladic was transferred to The Hague.
