ZAGREB, June 3 (Hina) - Nine Croatian nongovernmental organisationshave received donated funds from the World Bank in compliance with theBank's deed of gift on 34,000 US dollars. The funds are part of theBank's Small Grants Program
(SmGP).
ZAGREB, June 3 (Hina) - Nine Croatian nongovernmental
organisations have received donated funds from the World Bank in compliance
with the Bank's deed of gift on 34,000 US dollars. The funds are part of the
Bank's Small Grants Program (SmGP). The SmGP is aimed at providing
funds for activities that support the civic engagement of marginalized and
vulnerable groups, according to a press release issued by the Bank on
Friday.
The purpose of the initiatives which have been granted the funds is to
strengthen the position of women and children, help children suffering from
carcinoma and persons with special needs as well as assist Roma women in their
integration into society.
