The Chetniks made no contribution to anti-fascism, they simply were not anti-fascists, Biserko told the Danas daily of Monday, adding that Serbs had participated in World War II as anti-fascists, but not through the Chetniks.
Speaking about the incumbent Serbian government, Biserko said that "the entire government is Chetnik-oriented" and that this did not bother anyone in Serbia.
"There are citizens in Serbia who think differently and it is a shame that nobody has reacted on their behalf," Biserko said.
The Association of (Anti-Fascist) Fighters of Serbia and Montenegro on Sunday protested against the gathering at Ravna Gora, stating that the meeting would have been banned by any country that cared for its reputation and anti-fascism.
The Social Democratic Union of Zarko Korac has condemned the gathering as well, asking the government to apologise to citizens and the international community.
