The contracts were signed with lawyers who replied to the ministry's invitation to participate in the project of free legal services for the Roma, which is one of the measures of the national programme for the Roma.
The minister said 400,000 kuna would be set aside for the project this year. She added such projects were very important for the social integration of the Roma and the exercise of their human and minority rights.
The minister said the project was also the first step towards the establishment of a system of free legal aid for all citizens.
