PRISTINA, May 14 (Hina) - UN forensic experts have unearthed a
mass grave near the Kosovo town of Malisevo, 45 kilometres south-west of
Pristina, which is believed to contain the bodies of missing Serbs, UN Mission
in Kosovo spokeswoman Marcia Poole said on Saturday. It is believed
that the bodies belong to Serbs who went missing in 1998, an unnamed UN source
said, adding that six or seven bodies had been found in the mass grave and that
more remains were expected to be found.
Some 3,000 people went missing in conflicts between Serbian security
forces and Albanians in Kosovo. Most of the missing are Albanians, but some 500
Serbs also went missing.
