ZAGREB, April 27 (Hina) - Croatian President Stjepan Mesic on Wednesdayreceived a delegation of the Croatian-Austrian chamber of the economythat informed him of the chamber's activities and plans to promotebilateral economic relations
with an emphasis placed on efforts toincrease Croatia's exports to Austria, the Office of the Presidentstated.
ZAGREB, April 27 (Hina) - Croatian President Stjepan Mesic on
Wednesday received a delegation of the Croatian-Austrian chamber of the economy
that informed him of the chamber's activities and plans to promote bilateral
economic relations with an emphasis placed on efforts to increase Croatia's
exports to Austria, the Office of the President stated. The chamber
chairman, Georg Doppelhofer, said that in 2004, Croatia's exports to Austria
rose by 55 percent while, Austrian exports to Croatia rose by 18 percent.
However, there is still a lack of balance in the trade between the two
countries.
Underlining that Austria was on the top of the list according to the
amount of foreign investments in Croatia, Mesic spoke about other possible
forms for the enhancement of cooperation between the two countries,
