ZAGREB, April 27 (Hina) - A two-day conference on faculties and
studies in transport in Europe began in Zagreb on Wednesday, focusing on
efforts to adjust national tertiary education in the transport sector to the
European Union standards and rules of the Bologna process. The
conference, which has been organised by the Croatian Academy of Arts and
Sciences (HAZU), pooled experts from Austria, Bosnia-Herzegovina, the Czech
Republic, Latvia, Lithuania, Hungary, Macedonia, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia and
Croatia.
In the EU, the transport sector accounts for seven percent of GDP, and
employes seven percent of the population.
