PULA, April 22 (Hina) - The Provisional Council of the Adriatic
Euro-Region, which includes regions from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina,
Croatia, Italy, and Serbia and Montenegro, ended its first session in Pula on
Friday, deciding that this northern Croatian Adriatic town will serve as the
organisation's seat. Despite earlier announcements, the organisation
failed to adopt a statute due to terminology and referred the document to
representatives of the Italian regions of Molise and Friuli Venezia Giulia for
further elaboration.
The statute is expected to be adopted at the next session, scheduled to
take place in Venice in September, when a Permanent Adriatic Council will be
established, Istria County representative Oriano Otocan told reporters.
