Seks informed the Portuguese and Greece ambassadors of Croatia's expectations regarding the task force monitoring its cooperation with the UN war crimes tribunal in The Hague, as well as of preparations that have been carried out for the start of accession talks, the parliament said in a statement.
Ambassador Barreiroso voiced confidence that Croatia would become a full EU member in the nearest future, while Baizos stressed his country's consistent support for Croatia's European orientation, adding that Greece considered Croatia a true European country and believed that its membership would open the door to the EU to other countries in the region.
Ambassador Lebdioui informed Seks about the political and economic situation in Algeria, which is gradually returning to the international scene and recovering economically after a decade of the fight against terrorism.
Lebdioui agreed with Seks that a monument should be erected at the site where 12 Croats were killed in Algeria in 1993.
