The committee, headed by Seks, consists of 25 members representing the Parliament Presidency, each club of deputies, the Federation of Antifascist War Veterans (SAB) and a dozen prominent antifascist war veterans from throughout the country.
A formal ceremony will be held in the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb on May 7 and will be addressed by the President of the Republic, Stjepan Mesic, and Parliament Vice-President Luka Bebic.
At the initiative of the Croatian Academy of Arts and Sciences, in the autumn the committee will organise a symposium on the victory of the antifascist coalition over fascism 60 years ago.
Seks said that Parliament might adopt a declaration on antifascism already on Wednesday, possibly without a debate.
