The HSP forwarded into parliamentary procedure a proposal under which Parliament should bind the Government to, within 60 days, propose new guidelines for agreements on the public and private partnership, the two party officials told a news conference.
Tadic said the public-private partnership usually constituted the introduction of private management in public companies under less cost, provided that the company, controlled by the state or local self-government units, continues to work in public interest.
Deputies in parliament denied their support to a proposal submitted by the Democratic Centre regarding the financing of political parties. MPs said this was a good initiative, but added they expected the Government to submit to parliamentary procedure a better draft which would regulate the financing of parties.
MPs said the DC's proposal was incomplete and stressed the importance of an integral way of regulating the financing of political parties so as to avoid suspicions about financial wrongdoing.
