of which in the Gross Domestic Product is oneof the highest in Europe, the State Secretary of the Finance Ministry,Martina Dalic, said in Porec on Thursday.
ZAGREB, April 7 (Hina) - The consolidation of the public finance
is an important element of Croatia's further economic development and in the
fiscal policy area, efforts will have to be taken so as to reduce the public
sector, the share of which in the Gross Domestic Product is one of the highest
in Europe, the State Secretary of the Finance Ministry, Martina Dalic, said in
Porec on Thursday. Speaking at a financial conference in the
northern Croatian coastal town, Dalic announced a new law on investment funds
and informed participants that the Finance Ministry was working on a project of
uniting the supervision over the non-banking system, the organiser of the
conference, Infoarena, said in a press release.
The chairman of the Croatian Privatisation Fund, Damir Ostovic,
presented the Public Private Partnership (PPP) programme which sets up business
relations between the public and private sectors in the management of
services.
This year's conference, which will end on 9 April, pooled over 150
financial experts.
