on Monday sent a letter to Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger, head of the Holy See's
Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, offering condolences on the death
of Pope John Paul II, the Bosnian Foreign Ministry said in a statement. Ivanic said that a great and selfless man of peace was gone, leaving an
unforgettable example of morality, humanity and advocacy of those who suffer, a
man who he said had done so much for Bosnia-Herzegovina.
The bishop of Banja Luka, Franjo Komarica, on Sunday called on his
fellow citizens to pray for the Holy Father.
