"We cannot allow mine explosions first in Kumrovec and then in Murter, and we are really naive if we think that Europe does not notice them. Terrorist and barbarous acts do not give an image of Croatia being prepared for Europe," Kramaric said at a news conference in the northern coastal city of Pula on Tuesday, alluding to the recent destruction of monuments erected in memory of anti-fascist Croatian fighters.
Kramaric told reporters that his party strongly supported the message given by the Roman Catholic Zagreb Archbishop, Cardinal Josip Bozanic, ahead of the Easter holidays, adding that it was important for that statement to receive support from other political parties.
Kramaric said that posters with the image of the fugitive general Ante Gotovina appearing almost throughout Croatia represented an anti-European message.
"Nobody brings into question the values of the Homeland Defence War, but we must face the series of negative occurrences in that war which must be sanctioned," the LS Vice President said.
