Agricultural inspectors had taken samples of 15 types of hybrid corn seeds and three types of soybean seeds in late February and early March for an analysis that was carried out by the Croatian Institute for Public Health.
The institute concluded that the samples were GMO-free.
The ministry today said that it fulfilled a promise it had given last year saying that the analyses would be carried out before the start of this year's sowing.
The samples were taken from seven legal entities which produce and import corn and soybean seeds.
The ministry has announced analyses of corn and soybean cattle fodder which is sold on the Croatian market.
