ZAGREB, Feb 10 (Hina) - Croatia will try to ensure that its air
carriers are allowed to fly within the EU, namely between EU member countries
and not just between Croatia and EU member countries, Croatian tourism,
Transport and Development Minister Bozidar Kalmeta said on Thursday. The government decided to initiate an agreement with the European
Communities on some aspects of air traffic.
The agreement would include regulations on non-discriminatory treatment
of air carriers from EU countries flying to Croatia, regardless of the country
they are coming from, which has not been the case so far.
During the negotiations on the agreement, Croatia will try to achieve
reciprocity for Croatian air carriers in their access to the air market of the
the EU member states, Kalmeta said.
