ZAGREB, Jan 14 (Hina) - The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister ofHealth and Social Welfare, Andrija Hebrang, said on Friday he wouldstick to his decision to resign, because he was unable to work at fullcapacity owing to his health,
and added that it was up to the primeminister to decide on the manner of his resignation.
ZAGREB, Jan 14 (Hina) - The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of
Health and Social Welfare, Andrija Hebrang, said on Friday he would stick to
his decision to resign, because he was unable to work at full capacity owing to
his health, and added that it was up to the prime minister to decide on the
manner of his resignation.Hebrang was speaking at a press conference after a meeting of the
Managing Board of the Croatian Privatisation Fund, which he chairs. This was
his first official public appearance after he underwent prostatic surgery.
Answering reporters' questions, Hebrang said he could no longer work 12
hours a day and that he did not want any government department to suffer
because of his condition.
